Title: Do I Have To Like You?

Blog Entry: Hello and blessings to everybody. Before you get on the defensive about the title of this blog, hear me out because I know this is a topic that you will find interesting. Especially if you are married. :) I am writing today to ask you about whehter or not it is godly or ungodly for us not to like other people. The bible says that we should love one another and if we do we will fulfill the law of Christ (paraphrasing). We are supposed to love others in the way that God and Jesus love us. But can anyone tell me about whether or not we have to like everybody. Some people just don't have very agreeable personalities and some people may dress or act in an offensive manner. You hear me? They just might be kind of off or act kind of like something is always wrong with them or like they are always having a bad day. I know we are supposed to be forgiving and kind and all that good stuff but some people just the sound of their voice might just grate on your nerves! And then there are some people who it seems like they try to do things to bother you or to make you mad! What is this? What are we supposed to do with that? In the past, all I would do is if I see that person I just turn around and walk away because I know whatever they have to say, whatever is about to come out of their mouth is not going to be too good for me. I just won't be able to take it. So, I use that longsuffering and patience that God has given me and just walk away. Like Jesus said to turn the other cheek, just walk away and leave it alone. But I know I shouldn't do that. I know I should deal with it and pray and ask God to help me with it. So that's what I'm doing now. Please help me.
