Living in the Last Days
Posted On 05/05/2008 18:44:51 by Newcity
Hello and God bless the "community".  I am writing to find out what some of you truly think about the statement "we are living in the last days."  This statement of course comes from the passages in scripture that talk about perilous times that will come in the last days (see II Timothy 3, II Peter 3, and Hebrews 1).  But I know some people who allllllways talk about it.  :)  Now that is not to say that God is not showing them things or that they are not seeing visions where they have evidence that this is true.  But it just seems to me that sometimes people go on and on about bad things, horrible things, and things that kind of make you cringe just to get some kind of reaction from other people.  I do know that times are hard and that people are evil.  I know for a fact that people are definitely evil and some of them don't want to even be saved and get to know Jesus.  I know that there are demons and that the spirit of the Evil One, Satan is always somewhere trying to wreak havoc on the chosen servants of God.  But just somebody tell me what you think.  Jesus talked about keeping our eyes focused on him and staying on the good path.  To me, if we do this we can't go wrong and it seems that we will see what he wants us to see even if it's bad or evil or whatever.  But we will see it the way he wants us to see it and then we can pray about it or do something about it.  Peace!

My sister, these are the last days, whether God show you a vision or not. If we read the scriptures then we will know that God shouldn't have to show you a vision to show you that these are the last days. The scripture and phrase, "the last days," began when Jesus first came to earth 2000 years ago. Today, not only are we in the last days but we are in the last of the last days. The 70 weeks determined upon the children of Israel, which God showed Daniel has all been fulfilled with the exception of 1weeks. Note: a week is 7 days ( which is interpreted 7 years, called the time of the great tribulation) This last week or period of 7 years once fulfilled will make a total of 70 weeks. We who are saved are not looking to be here during that week or period of 7 years, for that will be the time of the great tribulation. As much as we want to be positive and not want to hear people talk negative, the Bible has already told us what is to be. We can't change it. Someone has said God has called a time out in fulfilling the last 7 years of this prophecy and this timeout period is what we are in now, ( the period of grace, the church age). During this time of God's grace and the church age we should be urgently and diligently telling others to get saved.
