I know some of your churches are just rockin' but ours is pretty dull. I don't want to know what other people are doing in their personal lives, just preach and let the word convict. Am I out of line for feeling this way?
Also, What are some ways to improve membership in our churches? Our church right now is losing members and is not that lively. I'm looking for some new idea's.
Would be nice to hear different ways to raise money for the church.
I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN,I HAVE SOME OF THOSE SAME FEELING,BUT I THINK IT STARTS WITH WILLING WORKERS, NO BIG I AND LITTLE U.BUT COME TOGATHER AS ONE, TRY STARTING A YOUTH NIGHT SAT SERVICE IT MAY ONLY BE A FEW AT FRIST BUT MAKE IT FUN ,AND THE KIDS WILL INVITE OTHERS AND THE YOUNG ADULTS WILL JOIN IN AND SOON THE ENERGY YOU PUT IN THE YOUTH WILL FLOW OVER IN YOUR SUNDAY SERVICE, THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH!LET ME KNOW I HAVE LOTS OF FUN RAISING IDEALS .BESIDE FRYING CHICKEN,BUT IT WORKS TOO.
Thats a good idea, We had someone doing that and he was great but the older crowd in our organization don't want to move. One of our biggest challenges is getting some of the older members to fall in line with new ways of doing things. Some will actually not support some of the youth, meaning if they do not agree with something, they will not show up and if they do, they'll sit there like a bump on a log ( they won't even clap). Our church right now if primarily made up of the older crowd but the pastor and my mother (maybe a few other people) would like to see more churchin' like we use too.
Well, guess I'll have to take your advice.
